If you’re venturing through Southern Alberta, you owe it to yourself to stop into the Alberta Birds of Prey Foundation in Coaldale.
For a low-cost, you get to enter the facility and see a variety of birds of prey in various states of rescue and recovery. You’ll learn about what they do, along with the different types of birds they rescue and take in a flight demonstration by their resident Bald Eagle.
I think the VagabondExpedition Jeep needs an ‘adventure eagle’ to travel with.
I didn’t know this, but apparently the Bald Eagle isn’t really much of a flier. They’d rather sit and wait for some prey than to put forth effort into flying. Here he is cooling off in the “shower” after the flight demonstration.
